Returns and Refunds

- The two exceptions. Your homepage and FAQ already say "charged twice or never got in," so I kept the rule as all sales final with two exceptions (duplicate or mistaken charge, failed delivery). Your product gate footers say "all sales final with no refund exceptions." If you want zero exceptions, the gate footers are right and this page and the homepage FAQ need to change. They cannot say both.
- Refunds required by law, and orders from outside the US. I added two more refund cases: a refund the law requires, and an order from outside the United States that we cancel. Both follow the WordPress terms ("we provide refunds if required by law") and your US only rule. Tell me if you want either one out.
- Founding price after a refund (Section "What a refund does to your access"). I wrote that a refunded founding owner purchase does not keep the founding price if the buyer buys again. That keeps one person from refunding and re-buying to hold a founding seat. Confirm.
- No guarantee. This page does not offer a money-back guarantee, matching your open decision. If you add one later, it replaces the "all sales are final" section.
- Credit to Automattic. The sections on independent sellers and on what sellers owe their buyers follow the WordPress.com Terms of Service (Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike). The credit line is in the footer. The same license note as the Terms of Sale applies.
- This covers anything you buy directly from The Kreative Kapitol, Inc., which right now is Your Selling Studio. It does not cover a purchase from an independent seller's own shop built on Your Selling Studio. That seller's own returns policy, linked on their page, governs those purchases.
- Everything we sell is a digital product. Nothing ships, so there is nothing to return.
- All sales are final once delivered, with two narrow exceptions: a duplicate or mistaken charge, or a delivery that never arrived.
- To ask, email us with your order number. Approved refunds go back to the card you paid with.
What this covers
This is our Returns and Refunds Policy for anything bought directly from us at yoursellingstudio.com, yourbizbestie.net, or any checkout page we run ourselves. It is part of our Terms of Sale, which covers pricing, licensing, disputes and everything else about a purchase. Read that page for the full picture.
If you bought from an independent seller's own shop built on Your Selling Studio, this page does not apply to you. See "Purchases from independent sellers" below.
Digital delivery, no shipping
Everything we sell directly is a digital product, delivered by email, generally within minutes of payment. Nothing is shipped and nothing is returned in the physical sense. A refund is the only remedy that applies here.
All sales are final, with these exceptions
Because access is delivered right away, all sales are final once your purchase is delivered. We do not give refunds for a change of mind, for not using what you bought, or for buyer's remorse.
The only exceptions are these:
- Duplicate or mistaken charge. If you were charged more than once for the same purchase, or charged in error, write to us and we will refund the duplicate or mistaken charge.
- Failed delivery. If you paid and never received access, after checking your spam or promotions folder and the email address you used at checkout, write to us with your order number. We will either fix delivery or refund you if we cannot.
- Refund required by law. We will give a refund whenever the law where you live requires one.
- Order from outside the United States. We sell to the United States only. If we cancel an order because it came from outside the United States, we will refund it in full.
How to ask for a refund
Email [email protected] with your order number (from your receipt email) and the email address you used at checkout, and tell us which exception above applies. We aim to answer within a few business days.
How a refund is paid
We refund to the card or other payment method you used. We do not refund to a different card, account or person. After we issue a refund, your bank or card company may take up to 10 business days to show it. If tax was charged on the purchase, it is refunded with the purchase.
What a refund does to your access
When we refund a purchase, the license it gave you ends. We will close the access that purchase gave you, and you may not keep using what you bought. [FILL IN: confirm] If a founding owner purchase is refunded and the buyer later buys again, the later purchase is charged the price shown at checkout then. The founding price does not carry over.
Chargebacks
Please write to us before you open a card dispute or chargeback. We can usually fix a real delivery or billing problem faster that way. A chargeback on a purchase that was properly delivered does not change the all-sales-final policy above, and we may contest it. We may also close access that came from a purchase you disputed.
Purchases from independent sellers
People who buy Your Selling Studio can use it to run their own shops. When you buy from one of those shops, you are buying from that seller and not from us. We are not responsible for refunding what you paid a seller, because that sale is between you and the seller. Each seller writes their own returns and refund policy and links it on their page, usually at their shop's policies page, and they are responsible for following it. To ask for a refund or a return, contact the seller. If you want to report a seller who broke our Seller Terms, you can tell us at the address above, but we are not able to refund a seller's sale.
If you sell with the Studio
If you run a shop with Your Selling Studio, you are the seller of record, and returns, refunds, cancellations and chargebacks on your sales are your responsibility. You must publish returns and refund policies that are fair and follow the law, explain clearly how your customers can ask for a refund, give your customers a way to reach you with questions and complaints, and not encourage customers to file chargebacks. The Seller Terms say more. Refunds you give to your own customers come out of your own Stripe account, not from us.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The version posted when you buy governs that purchase. The version date at the top always shows when it last changed.
